Kelly Clarkson is an American singer and songwriter who was the country's love interest when she won the American Idol title in the initial season of the show. This win catapulted Clarkson into fame and earned her the contract of RCA Records 19 Recordings, as well as 'S Records. Since then, she's recorded numerous studio albums. Three have reached the US Billboard 200 charts while the others were only one or two inches away. Her name is one of the top artists to made it through American Idol. She was a bit flimsy as she found recognition for her different musical themes and style, and often wrote her own songs. Her individuality and her singing ability earned her critical acclaim and a number of important award. She was awarded an award called the Grammy Award 3 times. Alongside her music profession, she has also worked in film and TV. She also co-wrote the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been associated with a number of charities.
